Thousands of Texas homeowners have been kicked out of their homes within the last several years either by self-representation or even with the advice of a good Houston Real Estate Attorney. (notice I did not say competent in foreclosure laws) Why have the courts ruled against them? Is it possible that the courts are just in on this “conspiracy” to take people’s homes? Or is it simpler than that? Isn’t it quite possible that homeowners and their counsel are simply making the wrong arguments? Over the last several years my firm has dedicated itself to figuring out the Texas foreclosure process and based on our recent victory at the 1st Court of Appeals, I’m confident that the Courts are on our side……..if the claims are filed PROPERLY. That’s a big IF! Our intention is that this blog will provide some general and even detailed knowledge on the Texas foreclosure process. Lastly, I want to stress that learning about this process is not equivalent to filing your own suit. The banks have attorneys practicing this same law hundreds of times in courtrooms across Texas. This is probably the first time you’ve been through this. Make sure and obtain COMPETENT representation or it is quite possible that you will be one of many facing eviction based legal failures that could have been avoided.
